Megadeath did everything right for this, their second "authorized" live album. It's a double CD consisting of 21 songs which are all played to perfection. More than that, I think the crowd that was in attendance at Obras Stadium in Buena Aires when it was recorded should get a credit for helping make this happen. The music fans in much of South America are rabid for hard rock and especially heavy metal and it shows that someone in Mustaine's camp knew what they were doing by choosing to record there. Throughout the record the crowd sings and chants along with guitar solos, riffs, choruses and whatever else Dave and company throw at them and they just eat it up, bones and all. So, kudos to the fans in Argentina for continuing to fly the metal flag so proudly.

As for this collection of songs, it simply rocks. The band sounds tighter than ever and aside from a few spots of slightly muddy sounding vocals, everything else is on the money. Let's keep in mind, however, that this is a live record and, well, it should sound live, not overly produced with studio overdubs and touched-up vocals. The only shortcoming of the package is that the songs only go as far back as "Peace Sells" from 1986 and there is nothing from their first record "Killing is My Business." In my opinion, had they chose to include either "Killing Is My Business" or "Mechanix" this live show and record would have really nailed it. Minor misses aside this record stands to remind metal heads and music lovers everywhere that Megadeath is very much alive and continue to be a very important presence in heavy metal music. Makes me think I might try to catch them next time they roll through town, because based on this, I won't be disappointed!
